I really do think you're overreacting a little. RP has been very active lately, and it's not the first time AO has had modern day pop culture references. I just think the whole thing is pretty funny. Besides, since it got posted, ARKs obviously approve of it. Lighten up a little!

Yeah the first thing that entered my head was "omg john lennon is rolling over in his grave over this."

So i facepalmed it on the forums.  I had no idea posting it was the opening volley of yet another forum battle over RP.  I mean, I don't mind that people post stuff that is not meant for one person or group specifically.  I'm ok with that.  I just see a future of nothing but hacks on IRL culture.  Soon well be seeing a Trox in a thong and a wig named "Neuter Gaga" etc etc.

I can see it easily getting outta hand.  Pop culture references can be ok in moderation, but I just see a bit more than makes me comfortable.  I wanna play AO, not play a game that social entertainment is wrapped up on the same methodology that Wierd Al Yankovic uses to write his albums on.

That being said, I have said something to Pheats about it.  And I am pretty sure he ignored me.
