Xeenah: Welcome to the Council of Truth!
Xeenah: The Atlantean Chamber is now in session.

Xeenah: With your permission, I will skip the part about the protocols.  They can be found at http://www.counciloftruth.org/forums/index.php?topic=1512.0, so people can consult them at will.
Xeenah: Since no new clan is present today, and there was no update to the status of the Council membership, I will proceed to item 4 of the agenda.
Xeenah: nods
Xeenah: Last meeting, I submitted a motion to the Council, requesting that the December 26th session be skipped, considering the usually low attendance at this period due to family obligations and travels off world.
Xeenah: Is there something to discuss about this motion?
Silverstone: Sounds good to me, less to do with the councils bookclub
Sharespirit: nods
Xeenah: nods as well
Kisra: nods
Xeenah: Thank you!
Xeenah: Item 5, Newland Liaison
Xeenah: Our Liaison to the Newland Council, Ms. Milly "Mirura" Harrada, sent a notification that she cannot attend today.
Xeenah: Along with her notification, she sent the following:
Xeenah: "the Newland City Council sent their gratitude and regards for maintaining the liaisonship. They hope this will strengthen our relationship and made a point to definitely use this communication channel in the near future."
Xeenah: nods
Silverstone: taps his fingers on his knee, nodding alittle
Xeenah: If there's nothing else on this, we can move to item 6

Kisra: glances at Silverstone and smiles a little

Xeenah: 5 items in 5 minutes, Commander, is not a bad pace for a session
Xeenah: smiles with amusement
Silverstone: Nah i like this speed of the meeting
Xeenah: chuckles

Xeenah: At the October session, the Council opted to send a report to the ICC to explain the situation regarding notum smuggling and to clearly state the Council of Truth's position.
Xeenah: My fellow clerk, Ms. Cindy "Razishlyat" Bolieu, volunteered to write this report.
Xeenah: To my knowledge, it has not been sent yet.
Xeenah: About the notum investigation, now.
Xeenah: nods, briefly checking her notepad
Xeenah: Last session, the Council established its position regarding the notum smuggling, position that was to be relayed to the ICC in a report.
Xeenah: Since it appears that the smugglers are Neutral citizens, this would fall under the Newland City Council's jurisdiction to investigate.
Xeenah: Is there any development or new elements that would require the Council's attention on this situation?
Xeenah: raises an eyebrow
Sharespirit: shrugs
Xeenah: If not, we can move on.
Silverstone: if its fencesitters then its out of our hands anyway
Xeenah: nods
Kisra: As far as I'm aware it's the Omni-Tek who are the most interested in catching the smugglers.
Xeenah: Indeed.  They wanted to pin that down on us even if we had no involvement in this.
Xeenah: shrugs
Sharespirit: I have a quastion about the matter though, if I may.
Xeenah: Please
Sharespirit: coughs
Xeenah: nods at Sharespirit
Sharespirit: How come Omni-HQ accused us of smuggling within' the Council if we Neutrals were to be blamed?
Silverstone: Its to leave the blame for their own pathetic work on clanners
Silverstone: Thats about it
Xeenah: Because Mirura was on location.  But she only sent a personal message through this transporter, which happened to smuggle notum as well.
Xeenah: So, she didn't smuggle notum.
Xeenah: End of story

Kisra: So Omni-Tek accused members of the council doing deals with the smugglers.
Kisra: nods

Xeenah: Joseph Hadrensen
Xeenah: The reference for this is at http://forums.anarchy-online.com/showthread.php?t=565329
Xeenah: This article is about the upcoming trial of Khiernan Hunter. In this article, at the very last of the article, there is a mention that the manhunt of Joseph Hadrensen is relaxed by Omni-Pol, now that he possibly left Rubi-Ka.
Xeenah: However, there is no mention that the warrant of arrest is released, so we can reasonably expect that should Hadrensen come back to Rubi-Ka, the manhunt would resume.
Xeenah: nods briefly
Xeenah: This bit of information brings on the next item on the agenda.
Xeenah: Item 7, inspector McKallen's death
Kisra: Is the death of some Omni-Tek inspector of much concern to us?
Silverstone: I would not say it sounds like anything we should be bothered about
Xeenah: Because there is a possibility that he may try to sign with the Clans, if he's not killed before.
Xeenah: About this, Mr. Jacobi suggested that it would likely depend on the nature of the crimes.
Kisra: Umm
Silverstone: raises an eyebrow and looks at Xeenah
Xeenah: Based on that, we'd decide if we offer him protection or not, should he try to escape by signing up a Clan application.
Kisra: Do you mean that McKallen may sign up with clans?
Kisra: But she's dead
Silverstone: She have a point
Xeenah: Not McKallen, Khiernan Hunter.
Kisra: Oh
Silverstone: nods
Xeenah: smiles
Xeenah: That's okay, better ask for precision than not
Silverstone: What exactly have this Hunter guy done who seem to be such a threat to the omni-scums?
Xeenah: Oh, the list is given in the article.  Quite impressive, actually.
Sharespirit: nods
Xeenah: Aside from scheming the death of inspecter McKallen, he also set up the death of Lex Mcalistair, the inspector who was there before McKallen.
Xeenah: Kidnappings...  the list goes on.
Kisra: Nothing can be done here, I believe. Even if he signs clan application now he will still be on trial since he's in custody already.
Xeenah: Well, if he remains in custody and is not killed, like other arrested related to this...
Xeenah: They have a tendancy to die prematurely, before standing trial.
Xeenah: raises an eyebrow
Xeenah: So, it may not be an issue.  More of a follow-up.
Sharespirit: Kerniak has also been found dead, no?
Silverstone: Right
Xeenah: nods at Sharespirit
Xeenah: My point exactly.
Xeenah: So, if the situation arises and Hunter requests protection of the Clans, then we'll see where the Council stands.
Xeenah: Do we agree?
Sharespirit: nods
Silverstone: nods

Xeenah: Next session will take place here on Saturday, January 30st, at 18:00 Rubi-Ka time.
Silverstone: nods
Xeenah: Please take note that I cannot attend the January session.
Xeenah: Important affairs that cannot be rescheduled are requiring my presence on RK4 that day.
Xeenah: Please accept my apologies.
Kisra: smiles

Silverstone: Im sure someone else can talk during the meeting
Xeenah: It will fall on Cindy Bolieu to carry on the January session.  I hope she will have everyone's support
